Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/30/2016

Number: 2

After a couple of weeks of at least half a dozen hummers madly chasing around (each other, and for some reason also goldfinches), there are now only two left today, one of which is a juvenile male, feeding at the honeysuckle and the scarlet runner flowers as well as the feeders.
We've had fewer hummingbirds this year,(would it have something to do with the great number of red squirrels, some of which were nesting in the same hemlocks?)
