At noon today the 2 sub adult males here started noticing more activity coming in suddenly. The one that has tried his best to keep the imaginary no fly zone intact just gave up to finally sit in tree preening ruffled feathers. Was I surprised looking thru field glasses seeing orangish flanks and orangeish neck feathers. We have a sub adult male Rufous. No wonder..19 all male Ruby throats this year dropping in returning so far. 2 females are among them ducking. Banner year for males . B.L.Houston
