They left about August 24 this year 2016(even though there was fruit available in the field) and did an estimated damage of $52000 despite using multiple devices to prevent depredation including $3000 worth of sound devices, 500 dollars of reflective devices, promotion of local predators by providing nesting with cost of about $500 per year to maintain. Promotion of other birds like mocking birds, cat birds, blue birds, purple martins to occupy space and time and I have known to shoot local robins as they teach the migratory flocks where the local food supply is.
