Monarch Waystation #271 report: one female monarch seen laying at least one egg in my front yard as I came home with groceries at 2:08 pm. The egg was laid on a tropical milkweed flower bud, the other possible egg was on a tropical milkweed leaf. That 2nd egg was suspected because I think I startled her off the plant before she really had a chance to lay the egg.
