My regular Ruby Throated male guarding "his" feeder was confronted with 2 adult male interlopers today. He was trying to defend all 4 feeders but the 2 extra males were sometimes getting in to one or another feeder when the resident male was busy chasing the other male. The females and juveniles usually have more success feeding--the resident male is not as aggressive toward them...he chases them but seems to cease his chase earlier.
