Found two caterpillars on the same common milkweed plant. Located on separate leaves. Found 5th instar caterpillar. Common milkweed in dunes areas is yellow, dry, and dropping leaves. Milkweed on mowed paths is younger and tender. Milkweed along shady, wooded margins is deeper green in color. Many plants have seed pods. Swamp milkweed is still blooming.
