On a tagging excursion, noted huge "private" field of purple clover around commerical bldg. It was around 6 p.m., yet still saw a few monarchs feeding and moving through to the S/SW.

Very disappointed to see the city has begun almost completely mowing the naturalized drainage ditches and holding ponds. Wiped out all the blooming clover. etc. just in time for migration.
