I released 1 captive-reared female monarch on 9/1/2016, reporting it on 9/4. She was healthy and released in Quincy Park on a stand of goldenrod blooms in a sunny spot. She took longer than normal to dry out, it was a very windy day and she may have been waiting for the wind to die down. Returned hours later to check on her and she was no where to be found. I hope she flew away safely.
