Monarch Waystation #271 report: From 12:40 to 12:41 pm watched a ruby throat navigate around some of the bent over flowers after yesterday's Tropical Storm Hermine wind damage in the front yard. It nectared on the right-side up Tithonia blooms, then looked perplexed at the upside down ones and attempted to nectar from them after nectaring at Lady-in-Red Salvia blooms nearby. It perched briefly on a Tithonia stalk to look "up" into the "umbrella" formed by one large upside down Tithonia bloom. It looked like it was able to at least taste one of the upside down Tithonias, attempted to nectar at some Ironweed blooms, but eventually went back to the Salvia, right-side-up Tithonias, then flew off towards the west.
