This is just one photo I took. There was a shelter belt about 3/4 mile long and nearly every tree had large groups of monarchs roosting in it. I was told (on 9/4/16) they had been in this area for the last couple days, north of Clark, SD. Thousands of monarchs!!! Editor’s Note: We are dating this record 9/2/16 since observer says the roosts have been present for the "last couple of days.”
