The northeast winds brought two new RT males to our yard (migrants #12 and #13). the first came Friday evening and drank from the "west" feeder. He's definitely new, because he drinks in hover mode, rather than perching, something we've never seen any other RT male do before. The second one arrived Saturday and took over another feeder (light east winds). We have a tremendous number of juveniles/females also, draining all of our six feeders, and fighting over ou trumpet vine and large hibiscus. It's been our most active hummer season in memory.
