Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/05/2016

Number: 9

I'm not sure if this will be the "peak", but I know it's definitely an indicator. The most I have seen all summer is 2 at at time. This morning around 10:30 AM, I was able to tag 7 in 15 min and 2 others got away. This is similar to activity in my garden last Labor Day when there were thousands roosting in Wendy Park, Cleveland. Sunny, blue skies and upper 70's. I thought it was worth noting the increased numbers, and glad to have some positive news. I have my birdwatching friends on alert to let me know what they are seeing, so keeping my fingers crossed. Oops...see 3 more! Gotta run!
