I can't perfectly tell the females from the juveniles, but I can note individuals by their size and behaviors. One was very vocal; I could hear a chirp each time she approached the feeder.
All of our hummingbirds defend the feeder from other hummingbirds, and some even chase away larger birds such as sparrows.
