I tried to snap a picture when it lit on a leaf, but it flew away right before I snapped! It was the first monarch butterfly I have seen in years. I used to see them all the time in Columbus, Ohio, when I was younger. It is sad, because they are so beautiful. I did not realize how much I missed seeing them in later summer, until I saw this one.
