Today's count, 4 females and 4 males. All healthy and beautiful! It is a hot breezy day, heat index 105! It has been a hot summer, so kept containers in the house for awhile, but have too many now. Putting second, third, and some forth instar cats on the last of my potted common and butterfly milkweed. The rest are munching on larger leaves cut from common plants grown in my yard. I had many that got pretty infested with aphids. If I do run out of my own, Iowa ditches always have lots!
