Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/05/2016

Number: 3

Interesting to observe fall sightings. They continue to try to dominate their territory. I have 6 feeders up and early morning and later evening if there are no bees out, they eat from feeders. They try to eat at the feeders always, but if the bees chase them they go to hot lips salvia, cannas, butterfly bush, cuphea, lantana, Durante ,Cardinal climber, major wheeler honeysuckle, seratina honeysuckle , trumpet vine, black and blue salvia and amistad salvia. I have huge Mandevillas but they do not go to them. I also have a Chinese lilac tree in bloom and a mimosa tree and they frequent that. The one hummingbird always chases the goldfinch away. They also eat the bugs over my pond. I passionately love these little jewels so I will do whatever they want and buy whatever flower they want.
