One of my two resident males left earlier today. This male Ruby throated who we had dubbed "Ay" had made our garden his home since April 24th. I will miss not seeing him on his perch, hawking bugs, nectaring from feeders and flowers and protecting his territory. He gave us so many hours of joy, he will be missed dearly. This is my last picture of him taken last evening before sunset. Fly safe little one and may you encounter lots of fresh sweet nectar on your long journey. Godspeed!
