Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/06/2016

Number: 2

I have seen what seems to be two hummingbirds one grey and the other green backed, over the past two weeks. One will be feeding on nectar, the other will come around and one or the other will take off, while one remains feeding. There are hundreds of perennial varieties on the property including lots of milkweed- Swamp Milkweed, Pale Purple Coneflower, Purple Coneflower, Wild Bergamot, and others as seen in the photo. We also have several monarchs hosted and feeding on the milkweed bushes throughout the property.
