While commuting from downtown San Antonio to Cibolo, i observed a large number of butterflies crossing IH35. Too many to count. At first I wasn't sure they were monarch due to their small size, but later confirmed by color. There may have been other species traveling with them, as i saw a few slightly larger white or light yellow butterflies. They were crossing from west to east, which also confused me, as I thought they should be moving southwest. Either way, beautiful sighting!
