Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/06/2016

Number: 5

Hummingbird activity has declined since yesterday. Today it's much quieter than it has been for the past month.Apparently about half of our ruby-throats have departed. I am still seeing one mature male and approximately four females and/or juveniles. I have also observed that most of the remaining hummers seem to prefer flowers to feeders, visiting my re-blooming azalea, mandevilla, streptocarpella and turtlehead plants.
