Observed female and/or juvenile ruby-throats nectaring at large patches of jewelweed (touch-me-nots) while walking along the nature trails at our town park in the late afternoon. Two hummers were guarding adjacent patches, and both birds had white feathers at the base of their beaks,so I wondered if they could be siblings. They seemed unusually tolerant of each other.
