We found two chrysalis near our prairie garden here at Peabody-Burns Elementary School. One was attached to the railing at the entrance to the playground. The other was attached to the brick wall above the door. We also found a caterpillar on September 6. He has been munching away on the milkweed in the garden. Today he was not moving on the plant (some type of sturdy grass stem). He looked to be preparing to form the J hook before transforming into a chrysalis.
