Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/08/2016

Number: 3

There were 2 monarchs feeding in one of my Tithonias and 1 monarch at the other side of the yard feeding on Tithonias. The butterflies are attracted to those flowers like crazy! I have several of them in my yard visited by many other types of butterflies as well. They're huge. I also tried potting one in a big pot on the deck. It was a surprise to see it blooming as well.
One of the monarchs seen was a female, but the other 2 didn't open their wings when they were nectaring.
