Female monarch laid dozens of eggs on August 30. On September 3 and fourth eggs hatch. Today only six remain. I suspect a large spider that was on the milkweed had something to do with the numbers. Remaining six are doing well and have doubled in size. Should form into a chrysalis around 18 September.
