Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 09/11/2016

Number: 3

The Hummingbirds have changed their way of feeding. They are now nectaring from my Salvia, Morning Glory, Dahlias, Monarda and Phlox. They aren't spending nearly as much time on my 7 hummingbird feeders. There is either an obelisk or a Shepherd's crook with hanging baskets on beside each of the hummingbird feeders. Our hummingbirds have rested on these and guarded "their" feeder, chasing intruders away in what we call "hummingbird wars", which must expend the most unbelievable amount of energy:). Happily, they now seem to be saving their energy for feeding.
