I watched as these two Monarchs mated in a LiveOak at the Coppell Community Garden. At one point the male flew around carrying the female until he found a better spot. They remained attached for well over 15 minutes. As soon as they detatched, I caught both with one swoop of my net so I could tag them with my Monarch Watch tags. These are the first ones for me this migration season.
