Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/11/2016

Number: 10

Counted 10 hummers at once this evening either drinking from nectar feeders or feeding on salvias. 1 is very plump immature male that guards the same feeder all day long. There was some feeding on insects earlier in the day. But this evening it was all about stoking up on nectar. They're getting ready to head south.
Last hummer left feeder to roost for the night at 7:46 p.m. Third evening in a row for this time. Amazing and entertaining creatures.
