Sightings report image

Date: 09/11/2016

Number: 2

Lots of eggs, maybe 100+. Counted over 50 caterpillars so far. Tiny ones and big fats ones too, lots of fat ones. I planted 11 clusters of milkweed, mostly native but some other mail order seeds friends gave me. Females still laying eggs. I've seen one male and two females. They seems very appreciative and have lighted on my arm. I have to be very careful watering plants now as there are lots of caterpillars that crawl from plant to plant. They devoured the smallest plant crop first. We desperately need rain. I water milkweed for 1.5 hrs every single day. Not much rain in 60 days.
