Observed around 20 Monarch nectaring on Joe Pye, Ironweed, and Sunflowers on the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center grounds. A group from the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin was tagging with us, and we tagged 10. This is a lower number than is typical for us to see this time of year, but we were happy to see these anyway. We have seen very low numbers this year. We hope that the Monarchs we spotted have a safe journey to Mexico.
