The monarch wasn't moving, just staying still on the grass. When I approached it, I expected it to fly off before I got close, but when I got close enough to lay my finger next to it, it climbed right on to my finger and stayed still long enough for me to snap this photo. It flew off a few seconds after that, but I saw it again after school, flying around the trees on my street. So cool!
