12+ hummers this evening. Spectacular aerial show with continuous zipping about, fighting, feeding on flowers and feeders. They're really taking in the nectar for the journey south. Some very plump hummers. Tonight could be peak of migration for us. Saw the last one leave to roost for the night at 7:40 p.m. Very cool to watch it silhouetted against evening sky.
