Viceroy butterfly sighting.
Having coffee on our upper deck I noticed what I thought was a Monarch butterfly off of our lower deck in the Yews. I noticed the curved, black lines on the hind wings, as well as its smaller size. It's only the second time I've seen one in 17 years living here.
It was between 9:05 and 9:20 AM, sunny, and 79 degrees.
It was difficult getting an in-focus photo as it was moving its wings almost constantly.
