So blessed and thankful to be able to report this monarch observation. This monarch arrived around noon by almost flying into my face. I'm dodging the hummers defending territory so thought it was a hummer at first until I turned and looked. It fluttered around all day in the gardens. It flew directly at my face twice. Around 6:00 pm I observed it fluttering around in the creek area which is heavily wooded with trees pines and tall grasses. He looked healthy, vibrant, relaxed and at peace. He loved the marigolds and zinnias. I do have flowering milkweed but never noticed it on them.
