We were surprised to find two caterpillars today, just when we thought we are done for the season. One was found on a potted milkweed plant we left at our front door. The milkweeds were consumed by previous generations. Not very many leaves left. Another one we found in our milkweed garden. The two look identical in size and colour. I hope the weather will be nice when they become butterflies.
