It was a great pleasure to see a Monarch Butterfly in Allen Garden close to Cabbagetown in downtown Toronto this afternoon.
We used to have a lot of Monarch Butterflies nectaring on the butterfly bushes in our own front garden as well as in many other gardens in Cabbagetown. However, it appears that most butterfly bushes in Cabbagetown were wiped out in first due to the ice storm a few years ago and new ones planted due to either strong and long periods of frost.
