This is the first Monarch I have seen this summer! It came onto the deck, landed in my husband's hair for awhile, then moving onto his bare left leg for a bit. I wondered if it was going after his sweat as he had just returned home from a 24 mile bike ride and his hair was very damp from his helmet. After it was finished thoroughly inspecting my husband, it moved on to my dahlia's in a window box on my deck railing where I shot the attached photo.
