We were seeing monarchs in the garden all day, with three to five at a time. They were nectaring on tithonia, tropical milkweed, lantana, and sunflowers. It looked as if they might spend the night in a spruce tree, but I didn't actually see them go to roost. It's possible that some of the four that we released in the early afternoon were among the bunch in the garden in the evening.
