7 female/immature male ruby-throats on the feeders and flowers right away this morning. 8 sighted yesterday morning first thing. Wasn't able to watch yesterday evening so I'm fairly sure there are still 8-12 ruby throats around. Several are very plump. A female and immature male that have been around for a few weeks have noticeably gained weight. Lots of battling over the nectar feeders. But they seem to pretty much leave each other alone (if they don't get too close to each other)
when nectaring on salvias, firecracker, agastache, and salmon fuschia. For us there are probably only a few weeks to go before the last ruby-throat departs southward.
