We have been raising & releasing monarchs from eggs & young caterpillars that we took off of our milkweed plants (we planted 50 plants). Today we released 2 males & 2 females making the total released 42. We still have in butterfly rearing cages 113 chrysalis & caterpillars of different instar stages.
