Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/14/2016

Number: 10

10 ruby throats this evening. A couple might have moved on south. 2 or 3 still here are juvenile males. They're mostly drinking from nectar feeders now. A 4-ounce high perch feeder seems to be a favorite. Hummers have drank it down 2 days in a row. Some feeding on salvias, agastache and firecracker. Several of the hummers are very plump. They also seem more territorial today. Last hummer this evening went to roost at 7:40 p.m.
