I saw at least 5 monarchs in my little suburban Chicago yard this past week, perhaps waiting in hot weather for a northerly wind. They are very attracted to my little stand of liatris ligulystylis, known as catnip for monarchs. Now that we have cool wind, they are gone . Buen viaje, mis mariposas !
