I believe it was yesterday or the day before I sent you what I thought was the last hummingbird pic I would take this year. It was of the feeder in the front yard. I said that it was from about a week earlier. I believe Sept 3. I also said I would leave the feeders up just in case as I always do. Usually till the 15th. Today I was out cleaning the eavestrough so I took down the front feeder because wasps are still at it, and I would be right over it on the ladder. Been there, done that. No fun. Anyway I put it down and thought to myself, I won't bother putting it back up. haven't seen one since about the 3rd. A couple of hours later, by that I mean 20 minutes ago or so I looked out my back windo and low & behold, there was one on the bigger feeder at the back. They are still here. I should mention that because I was cleaning out my email after the last one I sent to you people I deleted all of the journeyNorth& South emails thinking they'll send it again next year and I'll amswer then. Now , I could not find any of your Sighting request in my email, so I had to go to google. Thats how sure I was that hummingbird season was over up here. Delighted to say it is not, ....... maybe ! The pic I am attaching is from my widow a fair distance away from the feeder. If you look close you may see our friend on the other side of the bottle under the flowers.
Thanks again ! Verne. (please let me know if you can see it.)
