Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/16/2016

Number: 4

I have continued to find caterpillars regularly on swamp milkweed. Today I saw four in various stages of development. The milkweed is finally looking clean of aphids as a result of the abundant predatory insects such as lacewings, praying mantis, tachinid flies and predatory wasps, but this also means that the monarchs may be at risk too.
