My Mother resides at the Centre Crest nursing facility. There is a garden (roughly 70’ by 50’) for the residents that is shielded on three sides (W, N, & E) by the facility, so it is generally less windy and often a bit warmer than the locally reported observations, which at this time were 57ºF with wind from the NW at 7 mph. Today’s Monarch butterfly was spotted by my Mom and my wife at about 3:30 PM while they were relaxing in the garden area.
