Earlier today (12:45 PM) I reported a Monarch butterfly headed west past the terminal at University Park Airport (SCE) making good headway on a light easterly breeze. In contrast, this afternoon (at 1:25 PM with the wind from the ENE at 5 mph and 74ºF) I spotted a pair of Monarch butterflies swirling about each other as they climbed higher over the ramp. They were not headed in any particular direction.
