Five individual monarchs seen today; three in my backyard, only one heading southwest and possibly migrating. Two more hanging out in the garden area at Lowe's. Temp 80, wind west about 10mph. The whole month has been hot, hot, hot (and same for the coming week). Maybe that's why the migration seems late this year. Hoping the big wave of monarchs are still bottled up north somewhere waiting for the right weather to head south.
