As many as three monarchs on one tithonia plant, while another nectared on Clematis paniculata. Other sightings of monarchs on a different tithonia, on lantana, and on tropical milkweed. Monarchs flying around the garden, too. It's hard to say how many there were, but probably about 10. There was a fairly strong wind out of the south for much of the day, then from the west, before calming down late in the evening.
