I tagged 11 Monarchs out at the Benedictine Bottoms Wildlife Area this morning as they fed on the blooming Maximilian sunflowers. There was directional flight to the southwest, but the strong south winds were not helping them. I'm still looking for that evening roost in this area as I know it's here close somewhere!
