Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/20/2016

Number: 3

We continue to see large Monarchs nectaring in our garden. Today we saw 3 males. Monarchs usually fly through our area later in the fall and don't stop for long. This is our first year to have Swamp Milkweed in our garden. Much to our delight, the Monarchs raised in our milkweed seem to be happy to stick around and enjoy our flowers. They stayed all day today and especially enjoyed our Lantana flowers and Butterfly Bushes.
