Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/22/2016

Number: 1

We have been told this is an anna's hummingbird however it seems to have the features of a calliope hummingbird. An anna's would be a rare sighting for this area but is becoming more common. If it is a calliope it would be the first sighting this far north. It visited the feeders this morning Sept 21, 2016 and we are hoping it will migrate soon. It is feeding on some alpine vetch in this picture.
